"Le Penseur de Rotin" is an original and elegant white Anjou wine, made from a rare blend of Chenin (the Loire's flagship grape) and Chardonnay. Historically permitted in the appellation, this blend gives birth to a wine that is at once aromatic, balanced and deeply expressive.
On the nose, it offers an intense bouquet combining white flowers (honeysuckle, jasmine) and ripe fruits (peach, apple, pear), with a delicate sensation of fresh linen. On the palate, the attack is lively and precise, carried by crisp citrus and orchard fruits. Despite a low alcohol content (11%), the wine impresses with its concentration, persistence, and saline length on the finish.
This Loire white wine captivates with its balance of freshness, roundness, and minerality. Ideal for those who enjoy digestible, modern, and gastronomic wines.
Its name, Le Penseur de Rotin, is a subtle play on words between Rodin's famous sculpture and the weaving of rattan, evoking the patience, precision, and balance necessary to craft a great wine.
